One of the most sacred areas in Uttar Pradesh is Chitrakoot district. Temples and other locations with significant religious significance are frequently seen. Such a site is Hanuman Dhara. It draws a huge number of devotees because it is only a few kilometres from Ramghat, which is regarded as the main town centre in this location.
Because of the beautiful stream that flows over the statue of Lord Hanuman, this location is known as Hanuman Dhara. This is arguably the most gorgeous sight that can be seen, according to the followers. Red marble was used in the construction of the statue of Bajrang Bali, another name for Lord Hanuman. It provides a spiritual presence to the environment as it looks over the worshippers and guests entering the temple.
In the distance, there are miles and miles of greenery, with a few communities scattered throughout. The lore around how this location gained its name is fascinating. After lighting Lanka on fire, Lord Hanuman is said to have come back to this location. He was raging with rage and had no control over it at all. Finally, it was Lord Rama who gave him the means to control his rage. The stream of water that was coming down from above cooled Lord Hanuman internally after he took a bath.
There are stairs leading up to the temple. You pass various statues of Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, and Lord Laxmana along the way. You are rewarded with magnificent views of the area as you reach the summit. The temple also contains a tiny building called Sita Rasoi. The tourists in this area likewise find this to be a top attraction.
